Treatment
Treatment Approach
Following comprehensive evaluation, treatment is typically recommended for 1-3 hours per week.I specialize in integrated cognitive-based treatment rooted in models like Tera Sumpter’s Cognitive Processing framework for academic learning. This means therapy doesn’t just target isolated skills; it addresses the full spectrum of cognitive and language processes that work together to support reading, writing, executive function, and overall academic success.Every treatment plan is customized to your child’s unique profile—whether they need help strengthening language foundations, improving executive functioning skills, or building literacy from the ground up. At the core of my speech-language therapy is a commitment to creating a supportive, positive, and emotionally safe environment.Literacy development is a central focus of my practice. Through targeted therapy, I help children build the neural pathways necessary for reading fluency, comprehension, and decoding—while also fostering the undercurrent of language skills and executive functions that support strong literacy. My training includes both print-to-speech (e.g., Orton-Gillingham) and speech-to-print (e.g., Structured Linguistic Literacy) methodologies.Service Options
»In-home therapy
»Virtual sessions
»Community-based meetings for local clients, if desiredIf you have questions or want to explore how I can support your child’s learning, please reach out for a free 15-minute consultation—I’m here to help.
